To the uneducated eye, the Earth appears like a bulk of dull matter. However, she is not just a chunk of minerals and water, but rather an entity made of many working forces. She is a collection of units of consciousness which behave like atoms and are held together by magnetic power lines to form the shape of a globe. Matter moves and designs itself in correspondence with these power lines, which exist all around the Earth.

While the Earth spins around her own axis, the apparent circle depicted by the daily movement of the sun functions like an inductor, which creates an electric charge. An electromagnetic field is formed all around the Earth, and the equator is being charged with radiating energies on both sides. The seeming movement of the sun to the North and South weaves the electric power lines from the turning point of Cancer to the turning point of Capricorn. The electromagnetic field manifests as the vital body of the Earth. The etheric currents circle the planet and touch its poles. Thus, the equator is not a man-made line of separation on the world map; it is rather the belt that denotes the centre of all magnetic, electric, vital, mental, buddhic, etheric and astral currents. These currents are responsible for the Earth’s material existence and ensure her floating on the sea of invisible currents.

The electric work takes place through the sun, while through the moon the magnetic forces are received. These electromagnetic phenomena build the vital plane around our Earth that is called “Plenty of Prana” by the masters. It is referred to as the life of the planet by the heavenly bodies. The living beings on the planet carry life in form of the electromagnetic field. A community exists between the abundance of prana and the channels of individual pranas. The pranic forces are the base on which our organs are built; they are being constantly maintained along the nerve channels. The nerves and blood vessels and all parts of the human skeleton are like the lines of iron dust, which make visible the magnetic field around the magnet. The physical form appears according to the power lines of the etheric body, which is the basis of the physical body. When the prana of our planet’s ether connects with our pranic forces, we receive pranic energy in abundance and the body becomes revived and magnetised.

The difference between a piece of iron and a magnet lies in the arrangement of the atoms. A magnet contains exactly the same atoms as a piece of iron, only the correct arrangement of them causes the occurrence of magnetism. Magnetism is not visible, only its effect is. Much in the same way do we not recognize the magnetism of the consciousness through a radiography of the brain, but only the phenomena that are caused by it. Where there is order, the consciousness streams through. Is the order interrupted, the stream of consciousness is stopped.

Order has a magnetic effect. There should be order within us and around us; in our house and at our work place. If, for example, our hair style becomes disorderly, it is enough to amplify the disorder in our personality. It is not out of a sense of fashion that one should have clean, combed hair: due to order, the higher structures can manifest through us much better. If we live in order and rhythm, we will become radiant and magnetised. The magnetic currents transform the lower agencies and the light of the soul can shine through our bodies. The brighter the light, the stronger the magnetic field.

Rearrangement comes with rhythm. The new order creates the power lines and causes the flow of the magnetic currents. All major activities in our lives should therefore be rhythmic: a rhythm for meditation and prayers; a rhythm for studies and work; a rhythm for eating and resting. Rhythmic working is an activity of the 7th ray and generates magical results. That means that we transform ourselves strongly if we take on a rhythm and follow it. Most of us, however, are not steady in their practices and our life situations oftentimes hinder our practices as well. Here, help needs to come from a source that we cannot reach on our own - help through prayer and a magnetic person who lives in Buddhi.

For a piece of iron, it is difficult, yet not impossible, to be magnetized without the presence of a magnet - even though it carries the potential to become a magnet itself. A small magnet can already magnetize, but even a tome about magnetism cannot cause any effect on iron. We try to trick the world by announcing literature as the means to education. Reading books, however, remains a mechanical process if the knowledge does not cause any transformation. As long as we are not magnetized ourselves, all discussing, comparing, and talking about magnetism does not help us.

The magnet does not magnetize a piece of iron through action, but merely through its magnetic being. The magnet IS; it naturally generates these energies. Also, by magnetizing it does not lose its own magnetism. It does not have a program to magnetize its environment. Its existence alone creates the magnetic sphere. This magnetic aspect causes the soul of a seeker to be attracted by the teacher. The presence of THE MASTER through a master causes the necessary transformations in the seeker. This presence awakens awareness in us, not a doctrine or external influence; much less the personality of a master or his physical presence. It is recommended to a seeker to familiarize with the presence of THE MASTER and not so much with the personality of a master.

The key to this is to feel the presence of THE MASTER. This enables us to reach a higher level of order. In that we invoke the presence of a great master, we expose ourselves to magnetism. The visualization of a master in a meditation, too, is like invocating a magnet. In truth, the master is always within us. We adjust to his presence and, thus, achieve magnetism. In those who align with him he builds a centre in the heart, for love is the basis for their actions. Without a particular discipline, their life pattern will change in a convenient and enjoyable way; much like iron dust arranges to a particular pattern through the impact of the magnet.

There is only one magnet in the universe. Deriving from him, everything existing is magnetized. A planet is only a part through which magnetism works. Every magnetic force that the invisible universe generates originates in this one magnet. It is called the cosmic man, the spiritual sun, or God. Because the cosmic being is the magnet, we are magnets also - when we are aware of IT. When we contact the consciousness beyond the qualities, the people around us achieve balance as well.

In politics, it has many charismatic leaders; and many movie stars, too, are very attractive. It is the presence of magnetism or the presence of the divine in their being that makes them attractive. But whoever uses the force of their magnetism to attract people for personal purposes works with the lower or animal magnetism. The higher side of magnetism does not know personal motives anymore. The will, the love, or the power of the divine flow through us and magnetize people in accordance with time and place. They become peaceful and balanced.

Through long, practical magnetising, the spiritual energy settles in a place and gives it a magnetic atmosphere. It is not us who create the energy. But when we meditate and study the teachings of the Great ones in one place regularly, they will mercifully give us the gift of their presence. Especially in India, the strong vibrations of the Great ones have magnetized the ether, which facilitates the spiritual work for the generations to come. We should begin to prepare a place in our house for magnetism through consistent meditation and study. This will also help those who will come after us.
