Shirdi Sai Sayings

INTRODUCTION

Sai Baba of Shirdi has been a great inspiration to the theists all over the Globe. He is one Initiate in whom people from all religions agreed. He demonstrated humanism and super humanism without the colour of any religion.

The Truth seekers from all walks of life find in him the Path to the Truth. His teachings are simple and are directly addressed to the consciousness of the reader. There is nothing intellectual about his teachings. They are full of love and wisdom and are feasible for practice in day to day life without pomp and fanfare. Sai Baba stands for simplicity, silence, and sacrifice.

In recent centuries, Sri Sai Baba stands out as the Initiate that demonstrated deathlessness. The scriptures speak of the immortality of the soul and many spiritual Teachers say so. But in this century there are three Initiates that demonstrated 'Life beyond death'. Sri Lahiri Mahasaya, Master CVV of Kumbhakonam and Shirdi Sai Baba vividly demonstrated that through Yoga Science one can realise himself to he immortal. These great Initiates not only taught the illusion of death hut also demonstrated it in their lives. Demonstration is always considered as superior way of teaching.

The presence of Baba is felt by many today, as he responds to every sincere call of whatever nature. For the common and the simple he is God incarnate, for he is the source to fall back upon for every human urgency. The miracles of Baba are many. But his teachings are as many. They are ancient and profound. Baba laid out through his teachings a definite path to self-realisation, which is the ultimate goal of the humans.

Sri Parvathi Kumar is one Initiate that unhesitatingly serves the ONE MASTER,

the ONE TEACHER or the ONE GURU, in many forms and through his pen, the teachings of the Teacher in form of Sai Baba are brought to those who look for direction.

Sri Parvathi Kumar is known in India, in Europe, in Latin America and in North America for his synthetic approach to wisdom teaching and practice. His contribution to the groups of Truth seekers is significant, though he claims nil. He does not even claim authorship to the wisdom, for he believes that wisdom is impersonal and eternal and cannot be possessed by any, while it can be experienced by many.

Dhanishta publications deems it a bounden duty to publish these teachings and humbly offer to the inclined readers.

THE PUBLISHER

1. The Ocean & The Wave

You are the wave, I AM the ocean. As you emerge from Me, you shall be an embodiment of love, light and power.

2. Utterance

Whosoever utters Me in love is fulfilled. He grows proximate to Me through such utterances in love. He is lovable to Me who utters in love. Hence he is protected from all directions.

3. Rarity

As much as you are delighted in Me, so much I AM delighted in you. You say that the right Teacher is rare, but we the Teachers, say that the right disciple is rare.

4. The Song

Life is the song of breath - Sama Veda. The one who is involved and immersed in the song, is eternally blissful.

5. Encountering Situation

Submit to Me all events that encounter you in life. See Me as the aggregate of the encountering situation. Think of Me as the situation. Recollect Me in the situation. You shall be liberated from the limitation of the situation. This is My promise.

6. The Clue

When you are with Me, the world of five elements does not exist. When you are with the world of five elements, I do not exist to you as I remain hidden within the five elements.

7. I AM THAT I AM

You say “I am Sai”. It is you who named Me so. But “I AM THAT I AM”. I exist as all that is. Hence forget not Me in all that you see, listen, taste, touch, and smell. This is the sure way to be with Me for all times to come.

Sai is but a name related to Me, while I exist with thousands of names through thousands of forms. Verily My name is “I AM”.

8. The Knower

The one who knows Me and My name is the knower. He sees Me as the basis of sounds, colours and forms. Associating with Me, he observes the events in life unaffected. He even observes the play relating to his birth and his departure. Rooted in Me, he remains contented and interacts with Me through all walks of life.

9. My Abode

The one who is associated with Me in all gradually becomes My abode. Verily I express through the one and I exist as the One. He feels no more the separativity of light and of consciousness. He remains peaceful and he remains the channel for transmission of peace too. Purity vibrates through him.

10. The Law

Nature denies facilities to those who deny to others. To gain the favours of nature, one needs to be humble and obedient to the laws of nature. The nature is My form and the beings of nature are My children. I AM present in the nature as its law. Be humble towards nature. Be obedient to the law of nature and be friendly to Me in all.

11. Movement

I know. you wherever you are and whatever you do. Remember that I not only preside over your hearts but also reside therein. Residing in the heart, I keep watching every being. My movement in you is understood by you as your movement. Verily, the whole world moves in Me and I move in it through My nature. All that manifests is My form.

12.

A good Teacher is an eternal student.

13. The Teacher & The Truth

A Teacher is the representation of Truth. In one Teacher, the student can experience other Teachers arid all Angels. All Teachers and Angels exist in Truth. The Teacher remains a vehicle for expression of the Truth and for experiencing the Teachers and the Angels.

14. The Fire

Look at the flame and contemplate upon the fire. The fire bums up all your thoughts, emotions and even the pride of separativity.

15. The Priority

Make effort to gain the compassion of the Lord, instead of gaining the worldly fame. Gain Lord's recognition, instead of social recognition. The social recognition is like the water in the foam.

16. Poor Worship

The one who sincerely worships Me, need not look for his own requirements. Poor are those who look for their requirements even after the worship. Such worship lacks faith.

17. Friendliness

The mind that gains friendship with Me is ever peaceful. No one can, say that he is friendly with Me, if he is disturbed through anger, irritation, anxiety, fear, jealousy, hatred and desire.

18. Seek No More

I ensure minimum comforts of food, clothing and shelter. If you seek more than this you are greedy and are becoming a pilferer. I disassociate Myself from pilferers.

19. My Pleasure

If you wish to please Me utmost, feed and serve the poor and the weak.

20. My Means

Do not think that I AM ever peaceful and lovable. I can be fiery and fierceful. If needed I can be punitive. I use every means to transform you.

21. Presence

You cannot recognise Me by the form. You can only recognise Me, by the presence I transmit through the form. My presence is eternal while My form is transitory. Poor is the one who fixes Me to a form.

22. Your Concept

I live in a mosque, but I AM not a Muslim. I lit holy fire, but I AM not a Vedic Hindu. I speak of Allah to the Hindu and of Ram to the Muslims. I wish to break your concepts about Me so that you realise Me beyond your own concept as “True Consciousness”.

23. You & Me

You cannot know Me until the moment you know yourself. Since I know Myself I know you, in and out. I exist in you as I AM. You exist in Me as I AM.

24. Transformation

“My presence” helps transforming the sick to become healthy, the unrighteous to be righteous, from disease to ease, from blindness to sight and light, from conflict to harmony, from greatness to goodness and from non-self to Self.

25. The Shades

The difficulties in life are like the black clouds in the sky, veiling the blue sky of eternal peace. Remember that the rainy clouds come to pass. The sky ever remains blue.

26. The Vagabond

Let not the mind wander like a vagabond around the body, the wealth, the property or the family. Be alert of your duty and at leisure apply it upon Me. Quiet mind gains peace and poise.

27. My Symbols

My appearance in the dreams auspicious, the visit to “Shirdi” is equally auspicious. The eternal fire at Dwar-Ka- Mai in Shirdi gives My presence to purify. The Samadhi grants the boons and the Gurusthan initiates you into My kingdom.

28. The Healing Agent

When the healer realises in him “the One” the healing energy flows. It matters not through what means one should heal when thus linked up. In His name all is curable in time and all means including the healer work as mediums. The “Udhi” of Shirdi is the best healing agent, I have left behind.

29. The Visitor

Understand giving as discharge of your indebtedness and receiving as accumulation of debt. Release yourself through giving. Holding conditions you at all levels, physical, emotional and mental. In the form of the weak and the meek, I approach you from time to time to relieve you. Do not forget Me in the visitor.

30. The Crossroads

Even Gods are jealous of the human body, for it is the only means through which I can be realised. That should be the priority of the human. If not, it is a wasted opportunity. Wake up in the Self before the animal in you wakes up. Every human is at crossroads, he may walk up to be divine or walk down to be an animal.

31. The Initiate

The presence of an Initiate leads you to the path of liberation. The discovery of knowledge by the non-initiates, the study of the scriptures, the practice of rituals, the variety of worships even together are far less inspiring than the presence of the Initiate. Verily such presence burns away impurities and establishes self-control to enable pursuit on the path.

32. Abandonment

Do not neglect the body, for it is divine. Do not, at the same time, be subservient to the demands of the body. Give it as much attention as required. The vehicle is needed by the traveller till he reaches the destination. If the vehicle develops repairs the travel is affected. If the vehicle breaks down the traveller cannot reach the destination. Blessed is the traveller, who abandons the vehicle after reaching the destination. Pitiable is the traveller whom the vehicle abandons on the way. The human vehicle should be made to work till the indweller is realised.

33. The Seer

My presence permeates time and space. I dwell in the hearts of all beings and thus remain a witness to all acts of the beings. The world of beings move in Me and I move in them. I AM the mother too; My mother-aspect conducts the triangular activity in creation . - as creative, preserving and dissolving activity. The one who loves Me beyond the triple is the Seer. The one who sees the triple is blinded by their innumerable variety.

34. The Guest

The guest at home should be considered as your own God. He should be pleased by the food and the comfort you give. Never eat before the guest eats and never sleep before the guest sleeps. Love and affection should be the keynote of your treatment to the guest. Ill-treating the guests is followed by adversities. Pleasing the guests, causes plenitude.

35. The Land Of Two Rivers

Do not totter. Let not the mind wander in farther fields. Let it remain in the land of two rivers, 'Ida' and Pingala'. Let it dip deep. You shall be saved from the perplexity of illusion.

36. The Six Instructions

  1. Contemplate upon the Self.
  2. Read the scriptures.
  3. Serve the parents.
  4. Serve the beings around.
  5. Never neglect the guest.
  6. Do not neglect to pray and to worship.

37. A Declaration

“Shirdi will be transformed into spiritual centre due to the presence of Baba. Baba is the diamond among stories. His simplicity is the veil, that hides him from the ignoble. His presence transforms the place and the persons. The posterity will realise this, though not the contemporary.” - a contemporary Yogi.

38. Gardening

Gardening is a sacred work. The loving care bestowed on the tender plants respond and reap refreshing fruits and flowers. That which grows, flowers and fruits from you quenches your soul's thirst. Life is gardening.

39. Aspiration

Be not callous and lazy. Death overtakes you unless you are alert and actively associated with Me in all. The king searches for his lost son relentlessly. The widower looks for a second wife restlessly. The merchant looks for the prophesied treasure with robust hope. So too, an aspirant should be restless, relentless and robust till he finds the Self and thereby overcomes death.

40. Beggary

Beggary is not a fundamental right. It requires eligibility. The one who loves not money, cares not fame, holds not family and property is the only one eligible to beg. The one who so begs, relieves others from their conditioning, through begging. A beggar is one who seeks not for himself but seeks for others welfare. I beg to relieve you. I AM relieved when you are relieved.

41. The Feed

People come up to Me to feed Me. They are disappointed when I do not eat all that is offered. They are disappointed because they do not know how to feed Me. I exist as all beings. All hungry stomachs are My stomachs too! Those who really wish to feed Me, may feed the hungry. I move in variety of forms. Feed Me through your devotion. I receive it through every form. Think of Me and feed the dog. I receive it through the dog. Think of Me and feed the bull, I receive it through the bull. Water the plant. My thirst is quenched. Overcome your limitation of limiting Me to a form. See Me through all the forms and transact with Me. I receive you and your feed when you so perceive.

42. My Advise

The ignorant indulge in the differences of the religions. The knowers see the Truth hidden. In Truth all religions unite. Follow the Path of Truth through any religion. You will reach Me. Do not be lost in the routine of religion and in the variety of practices. Truth should prevail in all thoughts, speeches and actions. Compassion to beings is primary. The left and the right hands are seemingly different but are complementary. Together they accomplish better, than individually. Discussion, argument and conflict lead nowhere. Competition is unhealthy. Be just and be unmindful of the injustice done to you. Engage in your duty towards others and let that be the motto of the daily life.

43. The Divine Powers

Secrecy and simplicity are the true qualities of Initiates. Their speeches and actions do not even hint to suggest their status. Initiates have nothing to show or sell. They are not self-conscious but are always Self conscious. They do not carry other consciousness, not even body consciousness. Love is their quality. They are kings of their kingdom. The divine powers are at their “beck & call”.

44. The Scriptures

Scriptures narrate the story of “God in flesh & blood”. Study of such scriptures invoke the presence of the divine. Regular study of the scripture makes the divine friendly and familiar. The intimate contact with the divine dissolves the separative attitude and the consequent illusion. It neutralises the conflicts and establishes harmony. It delinks from the endless chain of births and deaths and establishes in eternity. Man lives unattached, unconditioned, and even unlimited and experiences the splendour of the divine. Do not therefore deviate from study of sacred scriptures.

45. My Nature

The mother never detests the child. The ocean never rejects the inflow of the rivers. The teacher never neglects the pupil. The shepherd never neglects the sheep. I never neglect, reject or detest anyone that looks up to Me. I always look to you when you look to Me. My looks are realised by you only when you look to Me.

46. My Name

Fortunate are those, who hold My name on their tongue. Whoever calls I shall respond, support and deliver them out of their Karma gradually. Recollection of My name is superior to any variety of worship, ritual and other austere practices. This is My promise.

47. Donation

Remember that you shall not meet me empty handed. Learn to offer, (even a little) to receive. To donate is the quality in all the three worlds. It leads you to compassion and further leads you to submission. It develops detachment and cleanses the mind. When you give you will receive better, qualitatively.

I receive from those whom I wish to grace. I do not receive that which is impure and commercial. I look for qualitative donations to return bounties to those who donate.

48. Accomplishment

Whoever stretches his hand in devotion, I shall reach him where ever he is, I remain with him where ever he is. My abode is your cave of heart. I AM with you, in you. To those who can see, I can be found in the hearts of the beings. Such Seers are the accomplished ones.

49. The Five Coins

I need five coins from you to enable you to realise the Self. They are:

  1. Your five senses
  2. Your mind
  3. Your respiration
  4. Your intellect and
  5. Your feeling of your own existence.

If you can submit these five coins to Me you will open five portals, to realise Me in you.

50. Nine Qualities For Discipleship

The accepted disciple holds the following qualities:

  1. Fiery aspiration.
  2. Realisation of the impermanence of outer attractions.
  3. Inclination for internalising the senses.
  4. Constant exercise to be pure in thought, that keeps the mind clean.
  5. To be compassionate in speech and in action.
  6. To desire the good in preference to the great.
  7. To apply mind frequently upon respiration and pulsation to retain the mind stable and comfortable.
  8. To constantly upgrade the quality of the mind through study of scriptures/association with men of goodwill and through carrying out acts of goodwill.
  9. Willingness to be guided by the seniors who are treading the Path of Truth (the Teachers)

51. The Whirlpool

Whoever is hooked to money, to property, to family, and to name and fame, is bound to be drowned through the whirlpool of illusion. His knowledge of scriptures rescues him not. Attachment and self realisation are poles apart and therefore oppose each other.

52. Meditation

Meditation is sheer glamour in so far as man is not contented. Contentment only leads to true contemplation.

53. Duty

The teaching of the Teacher disappears into thin air and does not aid those who are possessed of pride, engaged in sensuous satisfaction and who are engrossed more in the result than in the duty.

54. My Treasury

In My treasury, all is available. I can give anything and everything. But you do not have the capacity to receive. You cannot digest that which you desire. I therefore have to see that you should receive only that which you can hold and digest. I avoid indigestion, conjunction and the consequent fall of you.

55. The Recruitment

The grace of God, showers through realised ones, resulting in recruitment into the “Divine Plan”.

56. The Work of God

Self-realisation is an incident that enables release of unlimited Soul energy to transform substantially the quality of surrounding life. Every true incident of self-realisation causes such, a metamorphosis. The one who goes through the experience becomes a channel for the universal energy to effectively conducts its plan. It is work of God upon earth.

57. The Teachings

There is nothing secretive about the teachings of a Master. They are meant for all but only those who are ready pick them up for practice. The teacher does not carry preference. He teaches all alike. But since the disciples are not alike, some prosper with the teachings, others commercials them, still others try to propagate them with practicing, yet others confuse themselves and others. The Teacher however delivers the teaching impersonally. The teaching when followed, stabilises the mind and enables reflection of the Higher Self, the Atman.

58. The Teachings

The Teacher is like the rainy cloud. His teachings are like the downpour of nectar. The downpour is wide and varied. They should be received into the bosom of the heart to be nursed and nourished until their fragrance is transmitted to the mind. From heart to head the teachings spread. The transformed head spreads the teachings through speech without distortion. To such a disciple the teachings are given not only in the awakened state but also during the dream state and the sleep state.

59. Rounding Up

The medicine to cure disease is sometimes bitter. Even surgery is carried out if the disease warrants. The doctor treats the patient not as per the patient's desire but as per the patient's requirement. So too the spiritual Teacher deals with his disciples according to the need of the disciple. Some he encourages, some others he discourages, some are admonished, some others are ridiculed. Depending on the personality angle of the disciple, I approach him in the opposite direction to round up the angle.

60. Hidden Value

The true Teacher does not sell himself. He does not speak of himself. He neither claims any powers nor any knowledge. He does not offer to bestow self-realisation or liberation. He looks normal, conducts simple and exhibits nothing. Normal and natural temperament surrounds him. He does not excite people around not does he put them to falls hopes about the divine kingdom.

Do you not hide your valuable articles such as gold, diamonds and money? So too, The teacher hides the divinity to be transmitted to those who are silent.

61. The Four Ways

Listen to the stories of Initiates (or read). Long to be in His association, either through thought or through work or if possible through physical proximity. These are the four ways to link up. Observe what He does. Read and study what He says. Practice what He instructs and if possible follow Him by co-operation with His work. These are the four ways to further the association after link up. Verily the Initiate is the Truth in flesh and blood. It is not always easy to comprehend His ways of behaviour. Patience, perseverance, silence and undeterred trust in oneself are the four qualities required to work with the initiate.

62. The Plan

It is “the Plan” that man forgets God - the source of his being. It is also in “the Plan” that man recollects God in due course of his journey through time. Sickness incurable, difficulties insurmountable pleasures of objectivity turning pale and painful and the fiery aspiration to know, the “How” of things are the stations in line that turn life towards the path of recollection.

63. The Deep

The true seeker is the one that realises the superficiality of the objectivity. Objective experiences come to pass. They are temporary. They seem to give happiness but demand repetition. It is like swimming in shallow waters.

The pearls of the Sea are available only in the depths of the ocean. The treasures of the earth are available only in the deeper mines. Even the drinkable water is underground.

One needs to dwell deep into his “being” to realise the permanence, the deep experience of his being and the eternal bliss of “being”. The deeper one lives in the greater is the constancy. The tree deep-rooted is stable and remains unfurled by the wind and the cyclone. The true seeker realises thus the importance of depth.

64. The teacher and the Truth

The teachings are as an ancient as the Teacher. The teaching pave the way to the Truth. They form the path. The Teacher is the Truth “in flesh and blood”. If you follow the teachings, you tread the Path of Truth to reach the Truth. If you follow the Teacher, then too, you follow the teachings through the process of imitation to reach the Truth.

Reaching the Truth is verily reaching the Teacher and reaching the Teacher is verily reaching the Truth, for the Truth and the Teacher are different in state but not in content.

65. Illusion Of The Cycles

Birth and death are events on the cyclical path. Birth leads to death. Death leads to birth. One leads to the other and the other follows the one.

Night and day are happenings on the cyclical path. The night leads to the day and the day leads to the night. One leads to the other and the other follows the one.

But the night and the day are true to the one who is on Earth. If you lift up from the Earth, there is neither day nor night. Likewise the death and the birth are true to the one who is earthy. If you lift up from being earthy, there is neither birth nor death.

Overcome the illusion of the cyclical path and establish yourself in the Self that conducts the cycles.

66. Mirrored Truth

Truth is one. Concepts of Truth are many. The time, the place and the language are the means of manifestation of Truth through concept. Let not the concept cloud that which it “re-presents”. Truth is always present and is “re-presented” through the concept.

You are essentially true as I AM. You are the limb of the Original, the part of the Whole. Do not define yourself in any other manner. If you define yourself you reduce yourself to a concept. Concept is re-resented, secondary mirrored Truth but the Truth.

Be with the Truth through concept but do not be a concept.

67. Being - Becoming

The man lives in concept. The Master lives in consciousness. Concept is a projection of consciousness through time in space. Concept limits, conditions and causes illusion. Consciousness is “being” and concept is “becoming”. Becoming is transitory and temporary. Being is stationary and eternal.

One is son of man while the other is son of God.

68. Miracles

Miracles are chocolates I distribute to give you the taste of the Truth. Teachings form the Path to Truth. Gain the taste and follow the Truth. Do not remain a kid, seeking chocolates all the time.

“Taste for intake” is the Law. “Intake for the taste” is the distortion.

69. Infinity

Do not limit Me to your concept. Your concept is your self-imposed limitation. Do not impose it on Me. If you impose you see Me in your own way but not the way I AM. I AM beyond your concept. If you see Me as a Muslim, you find the Muslim in Me. If you see Me as Hindu, you find the Hindu in Me. If you see me as man, you find the man in Me. If you see the Master you find the Master in Me. But I am none of those views, I AM THAT I AM. Do not define Me. I am infinite.

70. A Message

Adversities such as ill-health, problems in family, in society or in business or vocation sometimes drive man to a Teacher of life. Adversities in the outer life are blockades that resist undesirable expansion into objectivity and confront man to turn introspective. Every adversity has a message for rectitude and restructuring of patterns.

Lucky is the one who lands at the feet of the Teacher during adversities, so that he finds the key to life.

71. Self-Study

The study of scripture is a daily requirement. It is daily nourishment to the Soul just as food is the daily nourishment to the body. Do not think you have known the scripture. The one who knows never says he has known. Can you say that you have eaten for life? You may have eaten for the day. So too with the scripture. Read the scripture, with reverence, with rapt attention for few minutes daily. It enables cleansing the mind, the channel for Soul's expression. It develops a clean mind that conducts-in objectivity to yield splendour and glory and it releases from the external bondage.

72. Initiation

Decision to follow the Teacher is that of the disciple. The Teacher does not seek followers. To follow the Teacher one needs unwavering mind and patience. The deeds of the Teacher are many times incomprehensible and even arise doubts in the disciple. Doubt arises due to wavering mind. Anticipation and expectation cause impatience.

Unwavering and patient following for a cycle of 12 years establishes the link. Once the link is established, there is the flow of energy from the Teacher to the disciple, that transmutes, transforms and causes transcendence of the disciple.

See how the tortoise feeds its child through looks. It does caress the child but not apparently. So too the Teacher. He enacts not the apparent drama of initiation.

73. Unfoldment

Follow the injunction of. the Teacher without an expectant mind. Retain his presence in you through recollection, wherever you are and whatever you do. At hours of leisure visualise the Teacher in the cave of your heart and realise his smiling look at you. It unfolds you gradually into the knowledge of Self. All the teaching of the Teacher is from within.

74. Focus

Meditation is essential for self-realisation. Regular and timely meditation in the initial stage tranquillises the mind. It relieves you from wasteful desires.

Observation of the Self in all the beings around you facilitates you to gain the meditating state quicker.

Meditation causes focalisation. The focussing one streams into that which is focussed at, concluding the process of meditation.

75. The Visitor

Look to Me in the one that comes up to you, it can be human or animal. Looking at Me receive the visitors with respect, love and compassion. As far as possible fulfil the visitors requirements if you can. If you cannot be pleasant in disposing them. At any event do not insult the one that knocks at your door.

76. Circumscription

Do not disassociate from Me in you. Stay in Me and observe the world before you. There is no difference between Me and you except in state. I AM the ocean. You are the wave. The wave is nothing but the ocean and the ocean only exists as the wave. The wave is an emanation of the ocean. If you disassociate from Me, you get circumscribed and limited.

77. Intuition

My path is mighty simple and noble. It is not for intellectual manipulators. It is the path of the heart. The traveller on my path intuitively knows others' needs in preference to his own needs. He serves Me in others. He looks not for profit in forms of money, recognition and other ways of compensation. He looks for Me in that which he does and is thus satisfied, for I satisfy him through My look.

My look unfolds him just as the sun-ray unfolds the lotus.

78. Indebtedness

Do not profit by other's labour. Compensate others adequately and even generously for the work secured. Intellectual manipulation for self-profit will manipulate you in due course. Exploitation is the worst evil of mankind. Be kind, equanimous and friendly. My follower shall not be indebted to anyone in creation through his acts. He shall be free from obligatory Karma.

79. The Soul's Quality

The orientation of the lotus is exclusively towards the solar ray. It opens by the touch of the tender morning sun ray. So too the soul individual unfolds by My touch through the morning prayers. The unfolded lotus gives joy to the beings that pass by. So too the unfolded disciple distributes the Soul quality to the surroundings. The quality of the Soul is essentially triple. It spreads light, love and the will divine.

80. Licking

I say unto you “do not lick the impurities of others”. You generally carry the instinct to be critical about others. You discuss the negatives of others in their absence. You even engage hours together to speak of other's behaviour. You rejoice in it. You rejoice, engrossing in the trivial, and unworthy speeches.

Only the pigs rejoice at licking the impurities.

81. Simplicity

If you wish to overcome the wheel of birth and death, you need to tread the path of simplicity, for Truth is simple. A grand objective personality many times is a great hindrance to tread the path. Such personality is bound by superficial social values that disables treading the path of simplicity.

The path of simplicity comprises of feasible and sustainable practice that gradually transforms the personality. The practitioner gains slowly the peace and poise that leads him to the taste of silence, i.e. silence mental and vocal. The thought, speech and action grow simple. One realises that the depth is in simplicity.

The deeper the roots are, the stable the tree is to withstand the vicissitudes of the weather.

82. Alchemy

The Alchemy for transformation lies

  1. in the tongue of 'good report' that judges not.
  2. n searching and working for the welfare of life in general.
  3. in holding the name of the Lord in all that is.

83. Nirvana

The Lord exists in form, out of form and even beyond the form. The Formless takes to form through time and the forms deform to reach formlessness through time. Cyclically there are formations and deformations. While one appears, the other disappears. But through appearance and disappearance, there is one that continues to exist. He is the Grand Being that forms beings and the formed beings join the Being through time. The ocean forms as many waves and the waves deform to be ocean. Nirvana is overcoming the limitation of form, to be the content.

84. Teachers - Team Work

The Teachers do their respective jobs. They are subjectively carrying at one work and one plan. While objectively their works seem different. They do the works ordained to them. Sometimes one supplements the other's work. Some other times one completes the unfinished work of the other. Many times they teach the different dimensions of the path. Don't you have different teachers teaching different subjects for the same class? So are the Teachers of Wisdom developed in nature. Be open with your ears and eyes to comprehend. Fools are they who think that there are different paths!

85. The Nine Approaches

There are nine approaches to the Path of Truth. They are:

  1. Listening, that leads to listening the voice of silence, the WORD, the OM.
  2. Singing to the state of ecstasy, where the singer merges into the Song of reath.
  3. Continuous recollection of the One in all, within and outside.
  4. Service to the life around.
  5. Worship through rituals - the technique of imitating Nature and its patterns.
  6. Serving a Teacher and co-operating with the work he does.
  7. Harmlessness and the related compassion and love.
  8. Self contemplation.
  9. Total surrender to a principle of Truth - Dharma.

Approach the path in anyone of the ways. Treading the path makes you a traveller. Otherwise the sweep of time shifts you to bondage.

86. Mockery

Love of God is the love of the law. Love of the law is the love to the beings. Love to the beings is loving the Being in the beings. Without such identity with the Being in the beings, the practice of religious injunctions is a mockery. Meditation, chanting of Mantra, and study of scriptures remain self-aggrandisement, when the love of the Being of the beings is absent.

87. The Treat

The Teacher has many faces. He is a man with many masks. But behind these masks there is the message of the Truth and the law relating thereto. Blessed are the associates that experience as many faces of the Teacher.

The Teacher is silent sometimes and talkative some other times. He emits brilliant light sometimes and the fire of anger at other times. He is humorous, hilarious sometimes and can be fiery at other times. He gathers crowds sometimes and is surrounded by them. At other times he is alone. He is brief in his teachings sometimes and is elaborate at other times. He is in the body sometimes and is away at some other times. Indeed it is a treat to the mind to observe a Teacher!

88. The Prison

Verily the Soul is beyond the qualities of nature. The triple qualities of nature (inertia, dynamism and poise) draw their force from the Soul and conduct the play of life. The Soul, drawn by the qualities enters into the play of qualities. When bound by the qualities, the play degrades into fight. When the Soul mounts upon the qualities and moves in life, the play remains joyful. The skill is 'to preside' and to avoid the prison.

89. The Non-Claimer

The Teacher demonstrates the teachings. He is self-dependant, co-operative and non-competitive. He does not order or command anyone. He carries in him no division of organic and inorganic forms. He visualises the light behind the veil of form. He is humble at all times and is alert towards all. He neglects none. He never claims himself as 'any'. He remains doing what is needed to be done, without defining himself, even as Teacher.

90. The Feasible Practice

Eat that which you can digest. Practice that which is feasible. Do not look for spiritual practice that you cannot sustain with comfort for long years. It causes you indigestion and the consequent disgust.

91. The Three Disciples

The disciple of the first grade renders the work of the Teacher intuitively. The disciple of the second grade renders the work, when told. The third grade disciple does what he desires in the name of the Teacher.

92. The Double Blessing

The Teacher is the Master of the life subjective and the life objective. If one follows the Teachings implicitly, without change in vibration and with patience and tolerance, the disciple fulfils himself in the subjective world and in the objective worlds as well. He rejoices the best of the both worlds, remaining in poise.

93. Offering

Explore if you can offer to others, things that you enjoy. Explore if you can offer before you enjoy anything for yourself. Learn to offer before you eat. The humans are always busy looking for enjoyment. They can be brought to poise through the regulation of offering in preference to self enjoyment. When you offer anything to anyone you are only offering to Me in all. Be respectful and affectionate when you do the acts of offering. Offer anything to Me before you enjoy. It keeps you growing in love and in splendour.

94. The Boomerang

Do not indulge in criticism of others' faith and ways of worship and service. All worships and services reach Me and please Me. Criticism of any good work hurts Me. When it hurts Me, it hurts you, for I do not retain either good or bad. It returns to those who emit.

All that work of goodwill done with heart reaches Me undoubtedly.

95. The Victor

There is no such thing as separative existence. Existence is one. Separativity is the primary illusion that breeds a world of illusion.

The cause for illusion is in you not in Me. You feel that you exist separatively from Me. I do not come in the way of your feeling. The victor is one who overcomes the primary illusion.

96. Solve - Salvage

If you feel that you need My presence, read the stories related to Me. Contemplate upon Me in the stories. My presence reaches you instantly. My presence resolves your difficulties and salvage you.

97. The Two Poles

You will be denied of the splendour of life if you have denied such splendour to others. Those who neglect the life around are neglected by the life. Know this, as the secret of poverty and rectify your behaviour. Learn to donate to life that which gathers around you.

Gathering is meant for distribution and distribution is meant for gathering. This is the latent law of life.

98. Link Up

I look for your linking up to Me. I look for no other. Bhakti is eternal link up. The stable link up and a complete link up that enables self-fulfilment and fulfilment of the life around.

99. The King

Mad is the fellow that is not contented with that which he has. The contented one is richer than the king. The energy of contentment attracts auspicious things and events. Lack of contentment draws one into entanglements. The contented one is ever full. The non-contented one is ever empty. I save people from the action of entanglement through the doctrine of contentment.

100. Death

Death is not. It exists through all that tends to separate. Separativity is birth. Loss of separativity is death to the ordinary. But to the knower, separativity is re-birth. I recommend death to your separativity to be reborn as knower.

101. Ever Ready

Do not think that I exist not. I exist in the mid-air. I respond to every sincere call. You don't have to feel anxious of My absence. Establish Me in the cave of your heart and dialogue with Me, whenever you desire. I am ever ready.

102. The Cycle

The tree flowers and the flowers in due course bear the fruit. But many flowers drop off even before bearing the fruit.

Blessed are the flowers that bear the fruit, for they contain the seed of the tree.

The tree is the Teacher, the flowers are the aspirants, and the fruits are the disciples. The disciple carries the seed of the Master Consciousness that manifests once again as the tree. Thus the cycle is complete.

103. Vibhuti - The Floatation

You see the name and the form and you make your own understanding. You do not see the basis of the formation and the basis of intelligence that names it. If you see the basis you don't see the form and much less the name. If you see the name and form you don't see the basis.

To the Seer the basis is the real. To him the form and the name are floatations of the basis. He sees not the world He sees the basis of the world and the patterns of its manifestation. He rejoices the Vibhuti.

104. Names & Forms

The form is nought but its essence. The golden ring is nought but the gold itself. The form and its name do not exist to the gold. To the Seer gold (essence) only exists and not the ring. To the ordinary the ring exists. Likewise to the ordinary many things exist as many forms with many names. The ordinary is entangled in his own concept of the forms and the names.

105. Dedication

The Lord and the Master is obliged to no one except to the one who is totally dedicated to Him by body, mind and soul. The Lord is bound by such dedications. The thoughts of fear and doubt are enemies to dedication.

106. Prayer

Oh! Lord turn my mind inward, direct it to You in me. Let not the mind get attracted to the worldly things. Let the mind merge in You so that You shall function through me and my body. Lead, guide and fulfil the life for I realise that it is not my life, but The Life.

107. Stability

Accept the life as it approaches you through the events. Link up to Me in the events. Remain stable with Me. Rejoice in Me as events come to pass. The stable one never totters.

108. The Daily Ritual

Wash the feet of the Master with the warmth of your tears. Apply the sandal paste of love to the Lotus Feet of the Master. Cover the Master with the brilliant white robe of stable vibration. Offer the power of poise at His feet. Offer the fruit of focussed worship at Him. Belt yourself' unto Him, through contemplation. Bend your head unto the thumb of His foot. This should be the daily ritual of the disciple.

109. Deathlessness

No one can escape from the debts incurred without appropriate repayment of the debt. The clever one thinks that he can escape. He is the fool who accumulates the debt which turns heavy. Wisdom tells to meet and to discharge the debt that comes in life. Discharge of debts leads to debtless state. The other name for it is deathlessness.

110. The Congregation

All the sacred rivers culminate in the ocean. A bath in the ocean is equivalent to the bathing in all the rivers. Likewise, the worship of the Master is equivalent to worshipping all the deities, for in the Master all the deities congregate.

111. I AM The Way

The wisdom books (scriptures) show the Path to the Truth but, bound by self-illusion the student cannot walk the path. The presence of the Master dispels the illusion and discloses the path. Blessed is the one who gains the presence of the Master than that of the books. Master forms the Path to the Truth. He says: “I AM the way”.

112. The Secret Relation

The Master serves the disciple and the disciple serves the Master. One depends on the other, while the other depends only on the one. Exoterically, the disciple is at the feet of the Master. Esoterically, it is one energy in two forms. Ignorant are those who see the difference between the Master and the disciple.

113. Terminater

The Master is one who ignites the path to self-realisation. He is skilful to direct upon the path. Once he takes the grip of the disciple, he never releases the grip until self-realisation is accomplished.

The parents give a mortal life with the terminals of birth and death. The Teachers terminates the terminals.

114. The Key

The presence of the Master suspends the planetary Karma. The continuous presence of the Master completely neutralises the past Karma. The presence is established through the recollection. Hence recollection is the way to liberation.

115. Trouble Seeking

You do not know what is good for you and what is favourable to you. Many times you ask things that are undesirable to you. Know that what is not given to you by life is for your welfare. Don't ask until you know. When you know you ask not any more. There is enough compassion in Me to give you that which ensures your welfare. If you seek more you seek trouble. Instead seek Me.

116. The Purpose

Verily I AM infinite and I AM beyond the qualities of My nature. I descend through the qualities to make My self visible as per the sincere wish of the devotees. I do this to lift up the devotees beyond qualities and unite with Me. To transform you into a Yogi is the chief purpose of My taking to form.

117. The Presence

The presence is fulfilling. It's a miraculous force. Its quality is silence, which has no language. It stills the mind and absorbs the non-self into the Self. It causes transmutation of the body cells and transformation of the mental fabric and enables transcendence of the individual soul into its universality.

118. The Lead Thought

The ultimate thought that you hold at the time of departure from the body, decides the course of next life. That thought becomes the leading thought for the life to come.

You cannot be certain that you would hold a thought of goodwill as you depart. Many depart unconsciously due to fear. Fear therefore remains the keynote for the next life. Many others depart with the thought of unfulfilled desires. Such desires form “lead thought' for the life to come.

119. The Key-Holder

“Whosoever thinks of Me at the time of departure, becomes one with Me”, says Lord Krishna. Hence the practice of holding the Self (I AM consciousness) devoid of other thought is needed during the life, to hold it at the departure time.

The Teacher, the Yogi holds the key to such practice.

120. Scriptural Purpose

Read the scriptures sincerely, without desiring for anything in the world and in the world beyond. Hold the knowledge that everything passes by, while you remain within or outside the body. The pure consciousness remains while all thoughts and consequent formations come to pass. That pure awareness fulfils and thereby bestows desirelessness. It dispels the illusions and the consequent anxiety You remain tranquilled. Such is the sacred purpose of the scriptures.

121. My Promise

Through the five senses and the mind you see Me in Shirdi as a seven-footer. You think I exist in Shirdi. So be it. But you can see Me even outside Shirdi if I will. Whosoever thinks of Me in the cave of the heart, can find Me instantly in them, guiding them out of their crisis. This is My nature and My promise.

I exist in the ether and manifest when beckoned from the heart.

122. The Secret

Whosoever dies at the feet of the Master is resurrected into the form of light and lives

eternally. Only the fit ones gain this opportunity.

A man, a cow, a crow, a dog or even a tiger when dies looking at the eyes of the Master, the soul is drawn into the Master and will be reborn in light but not in matter.

Such is the secret of dying at the feet of the Master.

123. The Four Ways

Lift up the self by the Self from the conditioning of the non-self.

Remain thoughtless to experience the unlimited state of consciousness.

Observe the unchanging, immutable and constant one amidst the ever-changing, mutable world.

Fulfil the ordained duties of life, surrendering the body, the mind and the

soul at the feet of the Master.

124. The Path-Finder

Searching for the Truth in the jungle of knowledge is fraught with many hurdles. It could lead to errands, resulting in no progress. It is tiresome and even hazardous sometimes.

Presence of a path-finder makes the task much easier. But remember that the path-finder only shows you the way and you have to walk the path.

It is luck to find a path-finder. Do not rejoice at it. But walk through the jungle with his help.

125. Cordial Help

Do not discard the help offered cordially. Accept all cordial help. That enables progressive movement. Help comes from Me through sources that you cannot visualise.

Cordial help denied results in denial of opportunity. Opportunity is time's gift: The tide of time offers help on the platter. Only the proud ones neglect, overlook and deny. The humble one accepts with gratefulness.

126. Studentship

As a student you may look to Me as Teacher. But I AM a student too, to my Teacher. Do you know my studentship?

I followed my Teacher implicitly, never questioning Him or His actions. To me He

is everything. He is my abode, my wealth and my health. He is my parents too! I (am) focus on Him always with my mind and the senses and serve Him. In me He lives. The personal 'I' ceased.

127. Hibernation

Students waste time, money and energy in trying to gather knowledge from the Teachers. They discuss and even judge the quality of the Teacher. They try to compare the Teachers. They often speak of their glory of discipleship. They claim to have read much, known much and gained much.

But the real one gains all knowledge in silence and in secrecy. The hibernation is a secretive and silent process!

128. The Method

Until the state of mind is clear, one cannot find the luminous Self. When the mind is hovered with thoughts good, bad, and ugly, how can you experience the basis of all thought.

The practices suggested for purity in the three planes, namely mental, emotional and physical should necessarily be gone through to enter into the realms of Self.

Do not fancy about the Self. Instead walk towards it methodically.

129. Waiting

Let the desire be into the fields of right action.

Let the wealth be utilised for right cause.

Let righteousness prevail in all walks of life.

Yet they do not contribute to self-realisation and the consequent liberation.

Only the Touch of the Teacher concludes and culminates in complete freedom.

Until then learn to wait, being righteous!

130. Fasting

Do not abstain from eating in the name of fasting. It is counter productive. It does not enable you to feel good. The empty stomach draws the mind to its requirement. The mind engages in fact of “not eating”.

If you are My true follower, never fast in that manner. You are damaging the body which is God-given.

Your understanding of fasting is no fasting. It is Himsa (injuring).

131. My Hope

My Father is benevolent. He keeps giving me abundantly. I wish to give what I receive. But there is none who wishes to receive what I intend giving. They have other wishes. They come to receive what they wish but not to receive what I wish to give. I keep giving what is asked by them with a fond hope that one day at least one of them seek what I am given by My Father.

132. Dhuni & Ash

The fire place should remain lit up always. It reduces every form thrown into it into ashes. It reminds you that all forms are ultimately reduced to ashes through fire. Fire remains and the remains of form are ashes!

Ashes represent forms sanctified by fire. Hence the ash is sacred. It cannot be burnt by fire any further. The work of fire is complete with it. It needs no further transformations, such is its sanctity.

133. Gifts

I accept gifts from some, for I wish to bless them.

I refuse gifts from some others, for their gifts are impure, filled with vanity and pride.

I demand gifts from yet others, for I AM bent upon releasing them from their bondage.

I collect my coins from still others who promise to give and forget.

I like this game. I rejoice playing it.

134. True Coursing

The true solution to every problem in life is first to accept it and work with it sincerely. There is a time dimension to every problem. Attend attentively throughout the time duration, without despair, without short cuts and without the attitude to escape. Be tolerant. Have the confidence that the problem gets solved as you course through time, with the grace of ALLAH (the Lord). Surrendering to Him, keep doing what is needed to be done. Such is the true course of life.

135. Karma

The doctrine of Karma is strange in its ways. Many are made to believe that they are doing. In that belief they live away life. Others realise that the deeds happen regardless of them and they are part of a great action. They too participate in the inevitable action, doing their part dispassionately. Few know that all actions spring from the divine idea and the beings are moved by it, and that they are neither the doers nor the cause for them.

136. Transmission

The Lord is with and without form. The egoist fancies of the Lord without form, while the humble reveres the Lord with form.

For the former the Lord is not communicable, while for the latter, the Lord becomes communicable, for communication through form-is easier than without form.

Blessed are the humble ones who bend before the Lord in form, for their ego enables transmission of Light transcendent!

137. Dwar-Ka-Mai

I accept gifts from those who are indebted, not for My sake but for the sake of relieving the debtors from their debt.

I do not use the, gifts received for My use, for I need no house, no property nor do I hold 'my' people. I use that which is received, without retention towards those whom Dwar-Ka-Mai invites.

It is indeed the mother at the threshold (Dwar-Ka-Mai) that conducts the reception and distribution of all material. I just remain.

138. Pleasing The Mother

Shall I tell you the secret of fulfilling your goals with the help of the mother?

Abstain from enjoying the which you like most until the mother is pleased to grant you your cherished goal.

This requires will. The mother condescends when you exercise such will.

139. The Mystic

You can never comprehend the ways of a mystic.

Sometimes he is joyful. Some other times he is dead silent. Yet other times he is dramatic. Still other times he is contemplating.

He can be angry for no apparent reason and in the next moment calm, and peaceful like a still deep lake. He can be brotherly, fatherly or friendly and is generally unpredictable.

140. Man Sacrifice

In the age of Kali, there is no ritual more sublime than offering. Offer that which you can unto others in the name of God. This is the sure way to liberation.

Cursed is the hand that shirks to give and blessed is the hand that nourishes and protects. Offer without restrain food, clothing and shelter to as many beings as you can.

If you can offer yourself to a noble cause in life that is the ultimate of the ritual of offering called “Man Sacrifice”.

141. Food-Offering

Offering of food stands primary to other offerings. Remember that the Lord Himself has come down as “food and vigour”. All the beings generate through food, flourish through food.

Offer therefore food of good quality with reverence and love. The weak, the lame, the blind and the sick need to be served first, the friends and relatives are to be served next. The host shall do better to stand last to all that are to be served.

142. The Luminary

The man's virtues do not shineforth when food offering is not part of his life activity.

All other virtues fade out when the ritual of offering food is ignored. Such acts of virtues are like the night sky without the moon, the necklace without the pendant, the lake without the lotuses, the palace without water, the singer without voice and the eatable without taste.

Be a Luminary.

143. Unveiling

The ignorants think of gaining knowledge. The self-styled teacher too, thinks of imparting knowledge.

Knowledge is. It exists as one-self. It need not be imparted or introduced. What is needed is removal of ignorance - unveiling the illusion.

True knowledge lies in knowing what is transitory, illusive, impermanent, and changing. It leads to unity of existence.

144. The Threshold

You are no different from Me. I AM no different from you. It is one consciousness that exists. Many formations happen with the one consciousness that exists. Many formations happen with the one consciousness causing the illusion of many-ness (plurality).

The illusion is the Mayi, the Dwar-Ka-Mai - the mother at the threshold. The threshold seemingly separates inside and outside. But in Truth there is neither inside nor outside.

Enter the Dwar-Ka-Mai and overcome the illusion.

145. The Essence

Eliminate the ignorance. You find yourself as the knowledge. Ignorance covers the knowledge.

You are not individualised soul. You suffer the veil of illusion and think so. You are as much as I AM, the Lord. You chose to be separate through your thought and hence got separated.

In essence, you are no different from Me. The world too in not essentially different from Me. I exit as you and as the world. I am the essence of all that is.

146. Awareness

The division of the Soul into many souls is one illusion.

The division of the souls into divine, human, animal, plant, mineral etc. is another illusion.

Division of anything leads to apparent states of awareness. But the awareness knows no division.

You understand the human body in many divisions. But the awareness as human is solitary.

147. Awareness - The Silver Screen

Awareness is ever existing. It is continuous. It has neither birth nor death. It gathers matter and disburses. Its gathering is formation of matter from subtle to gross. The disbursement is deforming from the gross to subtle.

If you can understand the path from subtle to gross and from gross to subtle, you smile away the apparent events upon the screen of awareness.

148. Hunger

Do not neglect the hunger of the beings. It is one's duty to attend primarily to the hunger of any being including the stone, the plant and the animal.

The humans have the language to express their hunger. The other beings too have their own language. If you know the language of the soul, you can comprehend and respond. Whosoever responds to others' hunger are dear to Me.

149. Entry & Exit

The entry and the exit of Yogi into and from the world is always simple, serene, and silent.

The Yogi enters the world, fulfils the searching souls and departs. His way of living and even departing is a demonstration of wisdom. He allows no emotion either in life nor in departure. He assures his presence in the hearts of beings before he departs from the physical.

150. An Injunction

When the being is departing, do not get emotional and disturb the departure. Learn to co-operate with the departing soul. Study the relevant part of the scriptures to enable smooth pass over. Or sing the music that inspires the soul to gain the truth of departure (but not the frightening concept of death) and of eternity of life. Co-operation for departure is as much a duty as co-operation in life.

151. My Immortality

Inspite of My teachings of immortality of soul, the ignorants believed that I died. I had to demonstrate My life after death and hence the continuity of tangible actions through the “Samadhi”.

I speak, I appear and thus inspire people to assure them of My Presence - with or without body.

Poor are they who think that I need a body to exist.

152. The Triangle

image1.jpg

The Teacher is for the weak and the meek, for they need him as support mechanism.

The Teacher has never been understood by the intellects, for the latter know not the simplicity of life, which is the abode of Truth. Truth is simple and expresses in simplicity.

The Teacher is ever simple, normal and natural and his life supports others to grow proximate to the Truth via normality and naturality.

153. Promise

I AM indebted to those who “surrender” to Me. I discharge My debt up to the point of their liberation from self-conditioning.

Seek Me in all, love the beings as My representations, study Me in scriptures, listen to My stories, contemplate upon Me, on My name and even form, and conduct all your acts as offering to Me.

Residing in you, I shall protect you and guide you until you and I merge in Me.

154. Name & Form

Who, do you think, am I? I AM eternal and omnipresent. You do not have to travel anywhere to meet Me. Wherever you are, there and then, you can experience Me.

While I can be in form and carry a name, I AM verily beyond your concept of the name and the form. You too are no different from Me, except that you think that you are your name and your form.

155. I Need No Missionaries

Do not collect money and seek favours from others in My name. If you have to seek, seek from Me, but not in My name from others.

I do not relish collections and the consequent charities in My name. If you wish you offer yours and even yourself. But do not insist others to offer unto Me. It displeases Me as it displeases the others. I need no missionaries.

156. The Law

You reap that which you sow. There is no escape. You have to dispose that which you have proposed.

If you receive, you have to give. If you give, you receive. You receive as much quality as you give.

You cannot aspire to gain more than what you have given. Whatever you have done to the life surrounding will come back unto you. Such is the law. I help you to follow the law.

157. Complete Knowledge

No one can describe the Teacher as he is. He is not completely describable. He gets described as much as he wills. The disciple cannot boast that he knows the Master. The disciple knows the Master, but in his own way.

Until the disciple follows the teachings of the Master and realises that his Master is no other than himself and that verily the Master only exists as himself, the knowledge is not complete.

158. Observation - A Key

Do not indulge in vain to conquer the mind and the senses. To conquer is an act of ignorance.

Let the mind and the senses do whatever they like and you remain an observer of their activity. This is the sure process of withdrawal that gains co-operation of the mind and the senses.

159. Goodwill

Ensure that you hold goodwill towards all. That will hold the mind, the senses, and the body in harmony.

If you lose hold over the goodwill, the alignment with the mind ceases. Such mind becomes fickle, grows emotional, disturbs the senses, and makes the body disobedient.

Hold the reins of goodwill then the horses (senses) move the chariot (body) on the royal path and enables you to experience the purpose of life.

160. The Surrender

If you surrender your will into My will, I shall hold you and conduct. You shall no more be responsible of all that happens to you. You remain My vehicle and live.

If you live in Me, I live through you, gradually you lose your separative consciousness and live as Me, the pure consciousness which knows not birth and death.

161. The Sole Friend

Your separativity excludes you from the totality of life. It is the reservoir (ocean) of selfish motives. Its waves generate jealousy, hatred, and anger. They make you impatient.

The only key to float over the ocean of life is the Teacher who carries not the separative consciousness. He sets the sail and causes the transcendence. Verily he is the only friend in all the three worlds.
