A cordial relation

The only key for establishing a cordial relation is to do something for the others, knowing their needs.

Serve in silence and simplicity

We should do some service for which we don't get money, in silence and simplicity. This gives joy and liberates from the debts of one's individual karma.

The inclination to serve

Good Will is an attitude to have the inclination to serve at all times and to watch out for opportunities.

Service for the groups

The measure for service is: What have you done for the group? Natural groups form themselves around us, at home or at our work. We shouldn't define group in a too narrow manner.

School Centre La Colombe

The School Project

WTT Belgium actively participates in an educational project in Congo, in a popular area of Kinshasa: The School Center of “Fondation Colombe” takes care of about three hundred children.

The School Center offers the complete cycle of primary school. It gives remedial teachings to more than hundred poor children:

  • preparation for the national test of primary education
  • professional training in sewing and electricity

A special objective is the improvement of the living conditions of young mothers; for this it creates workshops for professionalising cutting, sewing and aesthetics.

Moreover, the “Fondation Colombe” will soon work on the establishment of artistic workshops to awaken the child's sense of beauty and creativity.

Group Activities

The White Lotus group of WTT Belgium

  • collects funds
  • organises sponsorships
  • sends financial support
  • assumes a part of financial administration
  • advises on the future direction

During the year 2011-2012, new buildings were made to welcome the students in September 2012.

Much time and energy is given to follow this project, together with other Belgian associations and La Colombe, and a web site has been created to inform the people.
